What they share: a continuously growing, low-shedding coat that traps every loose hair — and mats from the skin outward. The number-one shock for new doodle parents is that the coat can look perfectly fine on top while felting solid underneath. There is no "easy" doodle coat. There are only doodle coats that get brushed properly and doodle coats that get shaved down.

Blow-dry while brushing (fluff-drying) rather than air-drying, which lets the coat dry into waves that tangle overnight.

And a note on doodle generations: curlier F1B coats usually need slightly shorter maintenance lengths than wavy F1 coats.
