This page covers each of the four checkout steps: bag, contact, delivery, and review: what you need at each step, how payment is taken, and what each checkout message means.
Checkout opens on the /shop page. You stay on the site until the payment step, which hands you to Stripe's secure payment page and returns you to the site afterward.
This page summarizes the Order Formation and Acceptance Policy, which governs, and the Payment Terms, which governs.
Before you start
There is no guest checkout. Requirements before you begin
- A signed-in account. If you start checkout signed out, you are taken to
/access-customerto sign in and returned to your bag afterward, with the bag unchanged. - Your contact email, a phone number, and, for delivery, a United States shipping address.
If you are signed in, the contact step arrives with your name and email already filled in.
Step 1: Bag
The first step reviews your bag: every line with its photo, name, option, quantity, and line total, plus the subtotal. Quantity steppers work here as they do on the bag page. The step bar at the top shows all four steps. You can return to any step you have completed; you cannot move forward past a step you have not completed. Select Back, labeled Keep Shopping on this step, to leave checkout without losing your bag.
Step 2: Contact
Enter four required fields
- First name and last name.
- Email. Your receipt and order updates are sent to this address. It is checked for a valid format, so check it carefully before you continue.
- Phone. This number is used for delivery problems, such as a driver who cannot find the address.
If you are signed in, a strip confirms the account you are signed in with. Details carried into this step can be changed for this order; changing them here does not change your account profile. Contact details on this step are used to fulfill this order.
How your personal information is handled is governed by the Privacy Policy.
Step 3: Delivery
Choose one delivery method
- Ship to me: complimentary standard shipping, 5–7 business days. Enter the street address (required), apartment, suite, or unit (optional), city, state, and ZIP code (required). The address is checked for completeness, not for deliverability, so read it once before continuing. A mistyped street address will misroute the package.
- Pick up in salon: your order is prepared at the Memphis salon and the team calls you when it is ready. The panel shows the salon address and hours: All About Pawz: Memphis Salon, 5515 Quince Rd, Memphis, TN 38119; Tuesday–Saturday 9am–6pm, Sunday 10am–4pm. No charge is made for pickup itself. Bring your order confirmation email when you collect the order.
An optional order notes field sits below the delivery choice. Use it for gate codes, delivery instructions, or a gift message. Notes travel with the order.
Step 4: Review and pay
The review step shows your items on one side and your details on the other: name, email, phone, the delivery address or the pickup salon, and your order notes. Check the address character by character. An incorrect address is the most common cause of a failed delivery.
The totals block shows
- Subtotal: the sum of your lines.
- Standard shipping: FREE, or Pickup in salon. Shipping is included in item prices rather than added here. See Shipping, Taxes, and the Shipping Club.
- Sales tax: where your ZIP code resolves, a line shows the tax portion of your total, labeled as included in prices. The total does not change because of this line. If the ZIP code cannot be resolved, the line does not appear. Sales tax collection is governed by the Marketplace Facilitator Tax Policy.
- Total: the amount on the pay button. It matches the subtotal, because shipping is included and tax is shown within the total.
Warning
Selecting the pay button creates your order and sends you to Stripe to pay the total shown. Check every line, the delivery address, and your email before you select it. Checkout checks every product and price against the current catalog when the order is created: if a price changed after you added an item, the current price applies and is the price in the payment session; if an item is no longer available, you are told so instead of being charged.
On Stripe's page you pay by card or wallet. Your card details are entered on Stripe's page and do not pass through this site. The address collected there is limited to United States addresses.
After payment
- Success returns you to the shop with an Order Received confirmation. The page confirms the payment with Stripe, then confirms that payment was received and that a receipt email is on its way. Your bag is cleared when you continue shopping. See After You Order.
- Cancel: closing or backing out of Stripe's page returns you to the shop. No charge is made, your bag is unchanged, and you can restart checkout at any time.
Checkout messages and what to do
- Sign in required: your session expired during checkout. Sign in again at
/access-customer. Your bag is unchanged. - Your bag is empty: checkout received no items. Refresh the bag page; if lines are shown there, re-enter checkout.
- A valid email is required: the email was rejected at order creation. Correct the format at the contact step and continue.
- One of the products in your bag is no longer available: stock ran out or the listing was removed between bagging and paying. Remove that line and check out with the rest.
- Payment failed. Please try Add to Bag instead: an express wallet payment failed. Pay by card on Stripe's page instead.
- Network error: please try again: the request did not complete. Your bag is unchanged; retry, or complete checkout through the four steps.
- Payments not configured: a configuration problem on the Company's side. No order was created. Wait and retry; if the message persists, contact support.
