Brand Assets and Logos

This page explains how brand assets: logos, product photography, and lifestyle imagery: enter the Platform, where they appear, the standards they must meet, and what sellers may and may not do with them. This page summarizes the Brand Asset Standards, which governs.

Getting your logo into the Platform

Requirements before you send a logo

  • The brand name.
  • A clean logo file: a transparent PNG or SVG at a reasonable resolution, named sensibly before you send it. The file system removes unusual characters and shortens long names, so a file with a long working name may be stored under a shorter name.

Brand logos are uploaded by the brand team through the admin tools. Brand owners do not upload directly; the brand team handles uploads as part of onboarding and asset updates.

  1. Send the brand team the brand name and the logo file.
  2. The brand team uploads the file to the Platform's media storage under the brands folder and stores the resulting public link on the brand's admin record.
  3. Verify the result. Open the brand record and confirm the logo link loads.

Notice

The brand name is required for an upload; other fields are optional. If you omit the public address, it is derived from the name. Check the derived address before you publish anything against it. If a storage upload fails, the process may continue with no logo link rather than stopping with an error, so always verify that the record holds a working logo link after upload.

The admin brand record holds name, public address, logo link, description, active flag, and sort order. This is the admin-managed presentation list. It is not the marketplace registry, which governs ownership and gating. See Brand Registry.

Where logos appear

Brand logos appear wherever the Platform presents brands: the A–Z directory, brand filter options, brand cards, and brand landing pages. A missing or broken logo link affects all of these at once. The brand still sells, but it presents as a text link where other brands present a visual identity.

If your logo is not rendering

  1. Check the brand record's logo link and confirm it loads.
  2. Confirm the file still exists in media storage.
  3. Ask the brand team to re-upload through the admin tools if either check fails.

Asset standards

Brand imagery must meet the following standards, stated in the Brand Asset Standards, which governs

  • Logos must be the current, official mark: not an old version and not a low-quality copy taken from another document.
  • Product images must depict the actual product as currently packaged. If you reformulate or repackage, update the images with the change. Outdated packaging imagery on a new formula is a listing-accuracy problem.
  • No third-party marks in your assets: no retailer logos, no certification badges you do not hold, and no endorsement claims placed inside the image file.

What sellers may do with your assets

When your assets are on the Platform, sellers listing your products may use them only to present those products accurately. The license is governed by the Brand Asset License Policy, which governs.

Permitted

  • Displaying your logo and product images on listings of your genuine products, at the resolution the Platform serves.

Not permitted

  • Altering the logo, including recoloring, stretching, or adding text.
  • Using your assets to sell another brand's products.
  • Using your assets in off-platform advertising without a separate agreement.
  • Implying an endorsement relationship that does not exist.

If you are a seller: presence of an image online is not a license. If the brand's assets are in the Platform's media system, use those. If they are not, do not copy the brand's website or a search result: request the assets through the brand team.

Misuse of assets

If your assets are misused: for example, an altered logo on a listing or your product photography used to sell a substitute product: treat the matter as an intellectual property complaint, not a content suggestion. Use the takedown path in Complaints, Takedowns and Anti-Counterfeit. Asset misuse tied to counterfeit goods is handled under the Brand Anti-Counterfeit Program Policy, which governs.
