Inventory Management

This page explains the Inventory area of Seller Center: stock, movements, replenishment, and low stock: and how inbound shipments work when you use Fulfillment by Pawz Shop. This page summarizes the Inventory Accuracy Policy, which governs.

What the Inventory area covers

Inventory → Overview (/seller/inventory/overview) is the landing page. Under it

Quantities are whole numbers, zero or above, keyed by SKU, saved per row or in bulk.

Keeping quantities accurate

Inventory accuracy is a performance obligation, not bookkeeping. Overselling: selling units you do not have: produces cancellations, and cancellations feed directly into your performance metrics (see Performance and Account Health) and into enforcement under the Seller Enforcement Policy. The consequences of cancelling an order you cannot fill are stated in the Order Cancellation Policy.

Do the following as routine practice

  1. Keep an accurate quantity for every SKU.
  2. Know your lead times from your suppliers, and set reorder points that reflect them.
  3. Work the Low stock view so a stock-out is a decision, not a surprise.
  4. Do not list inventory you cannot ship.

Inbound shipments to Fulfillment by Pawz Shop

If you use Fulfillment by Pawz Shop, plan and track shipments of your goods into the fulfillment centers under Inventory → Fulfillment inbound. The program is governed by the Fulfillment by Pawz Shop: Program Terms (Fulfillment by Pawz Shop — Program Terms).

Inbound accuracy matters as much as listing accuracy: the units the warehouse receives are the units recorded as yours. To protect yourself in a discrepancy

  1. Count the units before you ship.
  2. Document what you sent, and keep your inbound shipment records.
  3. For large shipments, photograph the packed contents and keep the bill of lading.

A discrepancy between what you recorded as sent and what arrived is yours to resolve, and a dispute without documentation is difficult to sustain.

If something goes wrong

  • Stock page shows no rows: check that you are signed in with the email address on your seller record (see Seller Center Overview); an empty page under the wrong sign-in is an identity mismatch, not lost data.
  • A quantity edit does not match what you ship: correct the SKU quantity in Stock, then review Movements to confirm the change was recorded.
  • Overselling: pause the affected listing, work the resulting orders under Orders, Acknowledgment and Shipping, and correct the quantity before the listing sells again.
  • Inbound mismatch: compare your pack-out count, photographs, and bill of lading against the receiving record, and raise the discrepancy with those documents attached.
