This page covers the program detail page at /learn/courses/[slug]: for example, /learn/courses/veterinary-technician: and explains the header, the five tabs, the sidebar, and what the delivery format means, so you can judge whether a program fits your schedule and goals before you join the waitlist.
The header
The top of the page gives you the essentials at a glance: the program title, a short description, the credential, the total weeks, the module count, and the clock hours. Both enrollment buttons on the page: one in the header and one in the sidebar: go to /learn/enroll, the waitlist page described in Enrollment and Waitlist. Tuition does not appear anywhere on the page.
The five tabs
Program
The overview tab gives the program objective, the core competencies you will build, and the hour breakdown: how many hours are technical, how many are business and personal, and how many are applied. Read the breakdown before you decide: a program that is entirely technical hours is a different commitment from one that mixes in business modules.
Curriculum
The curriculum tab shows the term-by-term structure in three views
- Terms: each term's modules, with codes, titles, hours, and descriptions.
- Weekly: the weekly schedule: Monday to Friday, 08:00–15:30, 30 hours a week, with technical lab, business module, quick check, practicum, and capstone or rubric review blocks.
- Catalog: the module-level view.
The weekly view is the one to use when you are deciding whether a program fits your life. Thirty hours a week, 8:00 to 3:30, Monday through Friday, is the full-time expectation. The sidebar also lists a part-time duration; check both before you commit.
Outcomes
The outcomes tab states the completion requirements: the certificates earned along the way and what the final credential requires. Read this tab as the list of gates between you and the credential; see also Certifications and Credentials.
Requirements
Two panels sit side by side
- What You Need to Enroll: the admission requirements. The standard requirement is age 18 or older; individual programs may add more.
- Attendance Policy: including the Friday 08:00–12:00 open laboratory makeup block. If you miss time, Friday morning is when you make it up.
FAQ
The FAQ tab answers compliance and operations questions: attendance, safety, and credential-building. Read it before you contact admissions; most common questions are answered there.
The sidebar
The sidebar stays visible as you move through the tabs. It shows the official credential name, total hours, the full-time and part-time durations, the delivery format, the enrollment button, and a "Build on Your Credentials" card describing how the program builds into further credentials; see the stacking rules in Certifications and Credentials.
What "Hybrid Salon Lab" means
Programs are not purely online. "Hybrid Salon Lab" means structured learning combined with hands-on lab work: practicum hours, live-animal work behind safety gates, and capstone panels. The Friday practicum block and the open-lab makeup window exist because the hands-on part is required, not optional. If you are considering a program from outside the area, ask admissions where the lab work takes place before you join the waitlist.
Points to check before you decide
- The Animal Care Assistant programs differ. The detail page shows the catalog version of Animal Care Assistant (170 hours, 9 weeks). The pathway version described in Leashed Diploma Pathways is 988 hours over 35 weeks. Do not confuse the two when planning.
- No cohort dates appear on the page. Detail pages describe the program, not the next start date. Start dates and seat availability are handled through the waitlist and admissions.
- If a page and admissions disagree, follow what admissions told you and report the difference so the page can be corrected.
