This page covers how your progress is recorded in the Learning Center: the evidence record of your attempts, the day-event record of each learning day, the practicum log required for a credential, and what you, your instructors, and administrators can each see.
The evidence record
Every attempt you submit: every quick check, assignment, and quiz: is recorded with the kind of work, the item, your response, Professor's feedback, and the pass or needs-work result, with the time it was submitted. Attempts accumulate; they are not edited or removed. An early attempt that missed the idea stays beside the later attempt where you reached it, because the record shows your path, not only the endpoint.
Notice
Reasoning accepted by Professor is formative evidence, not certified mastery. Certification is the whole record, not any single entry. See Assessments and Rubric.
The day-event record
Alongside the evidence record, each learning day keeps an event record: the day opened and checked in, each change of state, breaks taken, hands raised and resolved, and the day closed. The classroom footer states the point briefly: "Work is saved." The event record answers "what happened on Tuesday": not only what you submitted, but how the day ran. Instructors use it, and it is the record an accreditation review would examine.
The practicum log
The practicum log is the most consequential record in the system, because a credential cannot be issued without it. What it must show depends on your pathway
- IPDG: live-client hours and breed variety, signed by your instructor. Required for the GRM-BIZ capstone and the diploma.
- PDT: live-client training hours, signed. Required for TRN-BIZ.
- ACA: live-animal hours and breed variety, signed. Part of the workforce-readiness portfolio.
- PPC: multi-service hours across salon, training, and sitting work: the only pathway that requires demonstrated competency in all three service lines.
Warning
Practicum hours must be signed by an instructor. An unsigned hour does not count. Capstone panels review the log before the defense begins; if the hours or the variety are not there, the defense does not take place.
What you see
In the classroom, your progress appears as
- The lesson overview: the path through your current course, chapter by chapter, marked "In progress," "Previously visited," or "Ahead."
- Your evidence and day records: your attempts and the day's events, newest first.
- Recent submissions: a short list beside the work surface and the full submissions view.
- The notebook: your own notes, saved for each course.
- The calendar: your school-day blocks, the current block marked, and what is next.
There is no percentage-complete bar and no level counter. The empty state for the evidence record states the reason: "Evidence grows from your work: not completion counters." Moving through material is not the same as learning it, and the record is built to show learning.
What instructors and administrators see
Instructors see the diagnostic view: your attempts, the misconceptions recorded against them, and your event history, including the context attached to a raised hand. See Instructor Tools. The admin console's learner tracking surface covers per-learner progress, completion, attendance, and risk. See Admin LMS Console.
