Profile, Settings, and Preferences

This page covers three related surfaces: your profile and security settings at /customer/settings, and your communication and booking preferences at /customer/profile/communication-preferences. It covers what you can change yourself, what only support can change, and the four notification switches.

How your personal information is handled is governed by the Privacy Policy. Consent to electronic and text communications is governed by the Electronic Communications Consent and the Text Message Program Terms.

Your profile

The Profile section of Settings edits your name and phone number.

Your email address is shown but cannot be edited. Your email is your sign-in identity: every order, pet, and membership is attached to it. See Your Customer Portal. Changing an email address is not an edit but a transfer of your records, so it is done by support. Do not create a second account under a new email to work around this; doing so splits your history across two addresses.

Notice

Contact support if you need your email address changed, and use the address you sign in with until the change is made.

When you save your name, the full name you enter is divided into a first name and a last name. "Mary Kay Smith" is stored as first name "Mary" and last name "Kay Smith." If your name does not divide that way, tell support rather than working against the form.

"Saved" appears only after a change is confirmed. If a save fails, the error is shown in the form; the form does not report a success that did not happen.

Notification switches

Settings and Communication Preferences show the same four switches, held on your customer record

  • Appointment reminders by email: confirmations, reminders, and receipts for bookings.
  • Appointment reminders by text: the same reminders by text message.
  • Promotions and offers by email: sales, new products, and salon offers.
  • Promotions by text: occasional offers by text message.

The first two are about your own bookings and orders. Turning them off means no reminders, which can mean a missed appointment. The second two are marketing, and are optional. The starting position: appointment reminders by email on, the other three off: reflects that division.

Your switch positions are the record of your consent for text messages. If you receive a promotional text you did not opt into, raise it with support; your switch history is the evidence.

Booking preferences

The second part of Communication Preferences holds the preferences used when you book and when the salon suggests times

  • Preferred groomer: choose from the salon's staff list, or No preference.
  • Preferred days: select the days that work for you, Monday to Sunday.
  • Preferred time window: a start and an end time.
  • Preferred shampoo: free text, such as oatmeal or hypoallergenic.
  • Preferred cut style: free text, such as a teddy bear cut, or short in summer.

These are preferences, not guarantees. The salon works to them, but a fully booked day remains fully booked. The preferences are held on your customer record and are read by the booking process.

Security

The Security section of Settings is short by design

  • Password changes are made through the account recovery process on the sign-in page, not through a form in the portal. Password reset belongs with the sign-in system.
  • Sign out of all devices ends every session you are signed into, on every device. Use it if you lose a device, use a shared computer, or want a clean start.

Warning

Signing out of all devices ends your sessions only. It does not remove your saved cards. To detach your cards as well, remove each one as Payment Methods describes.

Problems

  • Preferences will not save. The error is shown by the save control. The usual cause is a session that expired while you were editing: sign in again and retry. Your switch positions remain in the form, so nothing is lost.
  • Texts are not arriving, or are still arriving. Check the phone number on your profile first. Carriers filter text messages in both directions. If the number is correct, message support; the send record can be checked.
  • A booking preference seems to be ignored. Preferences are advisory. If one is never followed: for example, you are always assigned a different groomer: raise it when you book or through support. The preference recorded for you may not be what you believe it is.
